Add Skills via Excel File

Skills can be added to the People Skills Dictionary from a specially formatted Excel file.

 

To Format and Edit an Excel Skills File:

1.Create an Excel file with three columns as per example below

2.Enter column names exactly as shown

3.Enter Category name - exactly as in the Skills Dictionary. If it does not exist, a new Category will be added

4.Enter Subcategory name - exactly as in the Skills Dictionary. If it does not exist, a new Subcategory will be added

5.Enter Skills name - must be unique

 

Example: Create an Excel Skills file

To Import an Excel Skills File:

1.Select the Root level folder under which the new folder is to be added if not already there.

2.Click the Import skills from formatted Excel file icon.

3.Select the Excel file and worksheet containing the formatted skills.

4.Click OK to start the import.

To View the Imported Excel Skills:

1.Check the imported Subfolder

2.Review the Skills in the subfolder
