1.Problem: Outlook does not save a copy of outbound email in the Deskflow database

Explanation: Deskflow must be configured correctly in both the Deskflow Administrator and in Deskflow on your workstation.

Solution:

In the Deskflow Administrator utility:

Enable Outlook as the email package to use with Deskflow.

 

In Deskflow:

Click Edit > E-Mail Options

Select the option: Automatically archive outbound email in Deskflow

Select the option: Add current company to Activity History

Click OK

 

2.Problem: Outlook does not link to Deskflow

Explanation: Deskflow must be configured in the Deskflow Administrator to launch Outlook automatically on Deskflow startup.

Solution: In the Deskflow Administrator utility:

Click System Config

Click Outlook Synch and Email Settings

Check the Use Outlook Synchronization option

Optionally check the Use Exchange Server option

Check the Use Outlook as Email Client option

Optionally check the Prompt for archive each email on send option

Check the Connect to Outlook (if running) on DFE startup option

Check the Run Outlook on DFE startup option
