Create a People Power Search

NOTE: Use the wildcard when entering values into the third field.  For example, to search for an Account Manager, enter Account Manag%.  This will ensure that the search brings back all variations of the word management.

 

To Create a People Power Search with Multiple Criteria:

1.From the People screen, click the Power Search tab. The Power Search screen appears with the first Line of the Power Search, which will initially be empty.

2.For Line 1, select a QUERYNAME and OPERATOR, then manually enter a PARAMETER value.

3.Click Add Line to create another empty line. To delete or clear a Line, right-click blank space at the end of it.

4.Add a CONNECTOR value (AND/OR), QUERYNAME and OPERATOR, then manually enter a PARAMETER value.

5.Repeat steps 3 and 4 for more query lines.

6.Add brackets around Lines that include OR as a CONNECTOR. Click an existing bracket to remove it.

7.Click Search.

People Power Search for Skills

Searching for Skills is much easier and faster than doing full-text searches. However, text searches are needed when a database has not been coded with skills.

The following example searches for:

People on a List with Name LIKE Vice Presidents

AND who have four mandatory skills (visible only on screen drop down)

AND who have any of French, English or German

People Power Search for Industry Codes

Searching for Industry Codes should always have a dual or triple search for IndustryCode1, IndustryCode2 and optionally IndustryCode3

Searching for RoleCodes should always have a dual search for RoleCode1 as the category and RoleCode2 as the role

To Save A People Power Search:

1.Build a Power Search.

2.Click the Save Current Power Search Layout button.

3.Select a destination folder.

4.Enter a name for the Power Search.

5.Click Save.

 

To Load a People Power Search:

1.Click the Load Stored Search icon.

2.Double-click the name of a Power Search.
