IFILTERS are programs from Microsoft and Adobe that extract text from their documents. This text is required by Deskflow for full-text indexing and search.
To Install Microsoft IFILTERS: 1.Download the appropriate Microsoft Filter by clicking on this link: 2.Most users of 32-bit machines will need to download FilterPackx86.exe (underneath Files in this Download) Users of 64-bit machines should download FilterPackx64.exe
To Install Adobe IFILTERS: 1.Adobe Reader 9 and lower includes its own IFilter 2.Adobe Reader X users need to download an additional IFilter depending on which operating system is in use: 3.Windows XP users with Adobe Reader X need to download Adobe IFilter 5 at: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2611 4.Vista and Windows 7 users with Adobe Reader X must download Adobe IFilter6 at: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2611
