The People Documents tab shows a list of all documents in the person's profile. This is a list of all documents (other than resumes/CVs and cover letters) on file for a person. The Documents tab should be used to store documents other than resumes/CVs, (i.e. reference pages, pre-screen or submittal forms, or previous work samples).
Document types that can be imported: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, HTML, JPG, GIF, BMP etc.
Document Categories are not specific to individual parent records (such as a Person or Company) Document Categories are global, and so a Document Category found in a Person Document tab is the same Document Category that is visible in a Company Documents view.
Action Icons for People Documents: To Sort the Document list, click a column heading once or twice. To Import a file from a URL, click Import file from URL. To Print a document, click Print a document To Clone a document, click Clone selected document and link to person. To Create a mail merge document, click Create new document via mail-merge template To Import a single document, click Import document from file. To Open or View a selected document, click Open document. To Link a document to this Person, click Link document to current object. To Email Selected Documents, click Send document by Email. To Mark multiple documents as email attachments, press ALT+Enter. To Delete a document, click Delete document. To Create a new Word document, click Add new document.
