The Power Search screen is for defining and performing a custom search of any data fields and text documents in Deskflow and to apply complex Boolean logic to the search.

 

The Power Search screen combines low-level queries into more complex, parameter-driven queries that can be saved for re-use. The low-level queries can be very complex, and Deskflow has about 150 pre-defined queries in it. More low-level queries can be designed using the Deskflow Administrator utility.

 

A useful example is to take the Power Search screen and an existing list of People or Companies and apply customizable filters to it: find out which People in a list do have emails, or find out which People do not have emails.

 

Another useful way to use Power Search is to apply weighted ranking criteria to a list in order to determine which records are the best fit.
