Project Lists are favourite Project lists that may be saved in a User-defined folder structure, then retrieved as and when required.

 

The result of a Search or a Power Search for Projects is a list of Projects that displays in the Browse tab. This list of Projects can be saved into a folder.

 

There are two types of folders to which a list may be saved:

A Public folder - accessible to all other Deskflow Users

A Private folder - accessible only to the User currently logged into Deskflow

 

A single Project can be added to a list from a Project view. All lists that a single Project belongs to can be seen from the Project View. Deskflow prevents a Project from being added to the same list twice.

 

To Create a New Project List Folder:

1.Highlight a parent folder to which the sub-folder is to be added.

2.Click the Create New Folder icon, PlusIconB located on the top left side of the Project List window.

3.Enter the name of the new sub-folder. The name appears.

4.Click elsewhere to save the folder name.

 

To Rename a Project List Folder:

1.Right click the folder to be renamed. A pop-up list appears.

2.Select Rename.

3.Rename the folder.

 

To Delete a Project List Folder:

1.Right-click the folder to be deleted. A pop-up list appears.

2.Select Delete Folder. The folder is deleted.

 

To Open a Project List:

1.Click the Projects Lists tab.

2.Select the folder where the list is located.

3.Double-click a list name to open it. The list will display in the a Browse tab. Action icons are displayed on the right margin of the Browse tab.

4.Double-click on a row in the list to zoom in to the selected item.

5.Details tab will appear with the information on that record.

6.Toggle back to the Browse tab to re-open the Project list.

OR

7.Highlight a row in the Browse window of the open list.

8.Click the Details tab to view the details.

 

To Rename a Project List:

1.Select the list to be renamed.

2.Right-click on the selected list. A pop-up list appears.

3.From the pop-up list, select Rename. The list name is actively highlighted.

4.Type the new name for the list.

5.Click on a blank area of the screen to move the cursor away from the list. The list is renamed.

 

To Merge a Project List with another Project List:

1.Drag the name of the Project list onto the name of the destination list.

2.Select Merge Lists option.

3.The Destination list will contain both lists.

 

To Copy, Cut, Rename, Delete, Split or Merge a list:

1.Select the name of the list.

2.Right click the selected name.

3.Select one of the options.

 

Lists that are saved in the Private folder can only be viewed by the owner of the private folder.

 

To Save a Project List:

1.From the Browse tab, click the Save as New List of Projects icon, SaveIconB located on the right margin of the screen. The List dialog box appears.

2.From the List dialog box, select a folder for the list.

3.Type a unique name for the list.

4.Click Save. The list is saved.

 

To Delete a Project List:

1.Select the list to be deleted. The list is highlighted.

2.Right-click on the selected list. A pop-up list appears.

3.Select Delete List. The list is deleted.

 

To Add or Delete Items in a Project List:

1.Click Projects > Find > Lists.

2.Double-click the List name in the right window, The Project list displays.

3.Select the Project item.

4.Click the Delete Project from List icon, MinusIconB.

 

To Sub-Divide a Project List:

1.Click Projects > Find > Lists.

2.Select the List name in the right window.

3.Right-Click the selected item.

4.Select the option Subdivide List.

 

To Drag and Merge Project Lists:

1.Click Projects > Find > Lists.

2.Drag the List name in the right window onto another List name.

3.Click Merge Lists.

4.The Source List will be merged into the Destination List.

 

To Print a Report for a List of Projects:

1.Click Projects > Find > Lists.

2.Double-click the List name in the right window, The Project list displays.

3.Click the orange printer PrintPreviewB icon in the right margin.

4.Select the Report Manager > Projects Folder.

5.Double-click a selected report template.

6.A preview of the report will display.

7.Click the Print Report for List of Projects icon, PrintB to print the report.

 

To Clone a Project:

1.Click Projects > Find > Lists.

2.Double-click the List name in the right window. The Project list displays.

3.Right-click a selected row.

4.Click Create New from Selected.

5.Check the items that need to be cloned.

6.Click OK.
