A Project Planner Template is used to automate a Project workflow process. A Project Planner Template has multiple Stages and each Stage has multiple Tasks and Appointments. Multiple templates can be set up, then used for different types of Projects. Project Planner Templates are archived in a library for use in new Projects.
Each Project Planner Template can be setup to either: •Force sequential completion of each Project Stage in the template OR •Do not force sequential completion of each Project Stage
Before a Project Planner Template can be put into use for a new Project, Deskflow System Wide Settings have to be made using the Deskflow Administrator:
To Configure Project Planner System Wide Settings: 1.Run the Deskflow Administrator utility. 2.Click System Config > System Wide Settings 2. 3.Uncheck the option Populate Project Status from Project Planner in the Deskflow Administrator section called: Sys. Settings 2.

To Setup Stages in a Project Planner Template: 1.Run the Deskflow Administrator utility. 2.Click Project Planner. 3.Click the Add New Template icon, at the top right corner. 4.Enter a Template Description then click Save. 5.If Stages are not to be sequentially linked, click the A column to create a check mark. 6.Click the Add New Stage icon, at centre left location. 7.Enter a Stage Description, then click Save. 8.Select a Stage Completion value from the drop down list. 9.Repeat steps 6, 7 and 8 for each Stage in the Template. 10.Click Save. 11.Setup Tasks for each Stage in the Project Planner Template (see below).

To Setup Tasks for each Stage in a Project Planner Template: 1.Highlight a Stage name by clicking on it. 2.Click the Add New Task icon, below the Stage Description. 3.Enter a Task Type: Appointment, Task, Phone Call or Meeting. 4.Enter Subject. 5.Enter Estimated Duration. 6.Enter Details. 7.Enter Start Date/Time. 8.Enter After Stage from drop down list. 9.Enter Became from drop down list. 10.Enter Participants (by Team Role). 11.Enter Links to Contacts (by team responsibility). 12.Enter Participants (by name). 13.Check Links to options. 14.Repeat steps 2 to 13 for each subsequent Task in the Stage. 15.Repeat steps 1 to 14 for each Stage in the template. 16.Click Save and Exit.
