The My Projects view only shows Projects in which the User is involved and in which the Project Status has pre-defined values.
When a database is configured to use Project Templates, the Project Status field (found on the main page of a Project view) is updated from Project Stages in the Project Planner, not by directly assigning values to the Project Status field.
An alias table is used to designate which Project Stage Descriptions should be considered "Active" - thereby allowing a User to view only those Project Stages that are "Active".
