Board Directors are a sub-category of People that must be coded in a special way:
•Colour code non-executive directors with People.Type = NED. This coding is used for people who want to become board directors and those who already are directors or past directors.
•Colour code non-executive directors with Positions.PositionType = NED. This only applies to people who currently are board directors or have previously held positions as board directors.
To Define Board Directors:
1.Use Deskflow Administrator to create a PersonType = NED (means Non-Executive Director)
2.Use Deskflow Administrator to select a distinct colour code for PersonType = NED
3.Use Deskflow Administrator to create a Positions.PositionType = NED
4.Use Deskflow Administrator to check the option "Use Position Type for coloring Person Record"
5.Use Deskflow Administrator to setup a Position Status for NED that is assigned to Projects
6.Create a list of People that are likely candidates for Board Director positions
7.Batch update this list with People.Type = NED. This will cause colour coding of Directors in People lists and Current Contacts in the Companies Contacts view. See below for examples.
8.Batch update this list with Role Code for Primary Positions = Board Roles (Major Occupation)
